Every safari starts here.
None ends the same way.

Use these as your starting points. Every itinerary is rebuilt around your dates, group, pace and budget — they’re a menu, not a contract.
Month by month

When to go, honestly.

There is no bad month in Tanzania, only trade-offs between wildlife, weather, crowds and cost. Pick a month and we will tell you what you would actually get.

October

Herds turning south through the east

Dry, dusty and very good for predators around shrinking water. The herds start south and the short rains may arrive late in the month. Rates soften — one of the best value-to-quality months of the year.

How it works

Four steps, two days.

Every itinerary on this page is a starting point. What you travel on is rebuilt around your dates, your group and your pace.

  1. 01

    Tell us what stirs you

A form, an email or a call. Your dates, roughly who is coming, what you want to see and what you would rather skip. No budget commitment at this stage.

  2. 02

    We draft, inside two days

A named consultant builds a first itinerary — parks, camps, routing, day-by-day, priced. Not a template with your name on it.

  3. 03

    You pull it apart

Swap camps, add days, drop a park, move to a private vehicle, bolt on Zanzibar or Kilimanjaro. Most trips go through two or three rounds. None of it costs you anything.

  4. 04

We run it on the ground

Our own guides and vehicles, our office in Arusha on call for the whole trip. One number to ring if anything moves.

What it costs

Where the money goes.

Tanzania is not a cheap safari destination and the reason is structural: park fees are among the highest in Africa and the good camps are small. Here is what each band actually buys.

per person per night
  • Well-run lodges and permanent tented camps
  • Shared 4×4 with a maximum of six guests
  • Classic northern circuit routing, all by road
  • Best value in the green season

What actually moves the number
Season
The same camp can cost twice as much in August as in April. Moving a trip by three weeks is the cheapest saving available.
Private or shared vehicle
A private 4×4 and guide is the single biggest upgrade to how a safari feels, and usually the biggest line item after camps.
Fly or drive
Internal flights buy back a day or two of game viewing. On the southern and western circuits they are not optional.
Group size
Per-person costs drop sharply from two to four travellers, because the vehicle and the guide are a fixed cost.

Bands are per person per night sharing, excluding international flights, visas and personal insurance. A quote is always built to the actual trip.
